High design promoter and connoisseur, Lisa S. Roberts began her "Antiques of the Future" collection in the early nineteen eighties. Intended to raise public awareness of superior product design, her collection includes upwards of 250 products that she believes will significantly increase in value, once they are no longer in production. Because Lisa has to be selective in choosing products for her collection, she draws on the advice of a team of museum curators, industrial and graphic designers, store owners, and other design professionals.

She began collecting her "Antiques of the Future" when her interest in product design emerged during her career as an architect. Lisa practiced architecture for six years after receiving a B.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Architecture degree from Washington University in St. Louis. In 1984, she left the field of architecture to pursue her professional interests in product and graphic design. Her early designs were focused on home and gift products and included barware, wrapping paper, tee shirts, gift bags, paper tableware, kitchen textiles, and posters. More recently, she has been involved in designing products for museum stores. Her brightly colored clocks, watches, note cards, magnets, coasters and baseballs have been sold in several museum stores including the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum, the National Building Museum, the American Institute of Architects Bookstores, and the Museum of American Folk Art.

Lisa's collection is only one among many of her involvements in raising awareness about design. Since 2001, Lisa has served on the Board of Trustees for the Philadelphia Art Museum (PMA). Lisa is also a longstanding board member of PMA's Modern and Contemporary Design group, Collab. She oversees the annual Collab Design Competition for area college students, which she started 12 years ago. At the Charter High School for Architecture and Design (CHAD) in Philadelphia, the first design focused charter high school in America, Lisa is an active supporter and honorary board member.

Lisa's collection has been featured on the HGTV show, The Ultimate Collector. It has also been recognized by the Philadelphia Inquirer, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
